For a league as dynamic as this I would have expected the waiver process to be something like 24 hrs, but the team with lowest points in the standing would be awarded the claim, rather than first come first served. Just me speaking aloud.

Your idea does make sense and I’ve thought about it before. In my experience there have been few takers or claims on waiver players over the years. Kyle / Brewers has been around longer than I playing in this concept. Maybe he has thoughts?
It’s something we could look at for next year. The player could sit out in waivers for x number of days. Players post a claim and at the end of the waiting period the team with the worst record wins the claim.
Not everyone is online everyday. To allow ample time for all managers to come online for a look see would have be 48 or 72 hours. 24 hours is not enough time for everyone to see the waiver.
Thoughts?

Current system is fine. Usually the waived players are the bottom of a roster anyways. Rewards active players.

Rewards active players. my only counter argument on this would be even looking at free agency and how its gone there are 2-3 teams that are on often during the day and many who log in once a day at best and it creates a bit of a disadvantage even if self-inflicted on those people

I’d like Rodger to add his two Euros or Pounds or whatever they use over there….lol.
Let’s see what the other Commish has to say. We want our two leagues to have the same rules.

We'd say 2 pennies worth! LOL!!!
I actually quite like the idea of awarding the player to the lowest ranked team, rather than just first come first served. We should always be looking for ways to help the lower ranked teams get better, to make sure we don't lose their interest. I would still keep it at 48 hours, but then if multiple claims we award to the lowest ranked team.
Honestly I can't see it happening all that often, but I think it's a nice little change we could introduce.

Deal! Looks like just a procedure change and not “really” a rule change. I don’t think it requires a league vote. It looks like we can change this procedure in both leagues for next year. I’m not one for changing anything in the middle of a season. We just have to decide how long we wait for all managers to see the waiver post . To me either 48 or 72 hours makes sense to me.
During this time of the season most managers are on here several times a day. Before the free agency period and then later in the summer when a team is in 16th place managers may not come on here that often.

Personally I think 48 hours is more than enough time. But if everyone prefers 72 hours I’ve no objection.

I like the change. 48 hours is fair.

48 hours is more than the current 24 hour waiver and seems plenty enough to me.
