Gentlemen, If we are experimenting with owners carrying more than one team which I think is an inevitable move in the positive direction I think we should design a rule governing any transactions between the two franchises lest we run into the obvious conflict of interest. I suggest we prohibit any transactions between the said franchises at least for the near future. I also propose any vacant owner teams be offered internal before going public I feel our chances of getting active and competitive owners will come better from among our fellow owners.

I may be confused by this post, but I dont recommend people having 2 teams in the same league.
If the admin hosts a team, usually the 'other' team is primarily inactive (from my experience).
If we wind up with it, I dont have a problem with trades internally, but need a majority of support to show its fair (or 10 people conform the trade, or something like that).

Is this in reference to Rays (Brett) picking up a team in the sister league? I’d have a problem with the same owner having 2 teams in the same league.

We don’t have anyone owning 2 teams anywhere in the same league that I’m aware of? We do have a bunch of owners that own a team in both leagues though?
Rook or I would be the only people that took control of another team if it was unowned and decisions needed to be made around contacts or buyout or draft picks. But we wouldn’t ever process any trades for an unowned team we would just do the essentials to keep the team active and attractive to a potential new owner.
I’m sure Rook would have some thoughts on this also.

No two teams by one owner will EVER be allowed in the same league, period!! Some managers have one team in each league.
When we have an open team during the season Roger in Moneyballers and I here in The Grind will set ourselves up on Yahoo as owners. We do this so we can easily access the Yahoo teams. We NEVER add subtract trade players. It’s hand off except we will set lineups from time to time. For example move guys to the IL and put a bench player in that position. We’ve been doing this since day one. I do this because I don’t want any team tanking because of inactivity. So far no one has had a problem with this. If so, let’s talk.
The only other time Rodger and I intervene with an open team is during the draft. When it’s time for an open team to draft we pick the highest rated available MLB prospect and draft for that open team. No personal input ever. It’s next man up. You can see that list on a Google sheets tab. It’s there to help guide you on who is owned and who is available to draft. Not perfect but pretty darn good in my opinion.
Hope this fully explains things. If not please continue.
Rook
